Notes - Nótaí
Regular reading of challenging and interesting pieces is essential to build vocabulary. Your child must read every day. Discuss with your child what he/she is reading to improve comprehension.
It is important in 5th class that your child takes responsibility for their own learning. This will benefit them hugely, looking forward to 6th Class and secondary school.
Recommended resources for Gaeilge
It would be of huge benefit to your child's level of Gaeilge, if they use it as much as they can at home, as well as in school. The more natural and informal the approach, the better. Both you and your children will be amazed at how much your confidence will grow, the more consistently you use it.
Here are a couple of resources you can use, if you are a beginner, or if you are at intermediate level. These can be purchased at www.siopa.ie
I have also left links to some useful websites for Gaeilge on this website for both you and your children.
